Subsidies Paid by Malaysia

Instead of subsidising prices of consumer items which will led to unfairness and wastage, we can give to all Malaysians.

If we just give RM30 billion, with a population of 30 million, each person can get RM1,000 per year.

A single person can get RM1,000 per year, but a family of 5 will get RM5,000 per year, thereby wiping out hard core poverty. Prices of items will increase but these cash handouts will surely compensate for them.

If we just give those with salaries of below RM6,000 per month, assuming these are the B50, 15 million will get the cash handout. So a family of five can get RM10,000 per year, wiping out poverty, while taking into account the minimum pay of RM1,500 per month. A single person can get RM2,000 per year.
