Politics is the Only Solution to World's Problems

Bodoh. Politicians are like that because voters are only interested in those things. If you do not satisfy your voters, you lose. If you want to fight for the next generation you lose. If you do not make any firm promises, but instead ask your voters to work hard so that promises may be fullfilled, you surely will lose. 

But politics in a censored country like Malaysia has advantages and more power compared to non politicians, winner or loser. Politicians are allowed to talk about the next generations and visions that require voters to participitate in order to realise those visions as promises. Voters mean every citizen, from unemployed to schooars.

If you talk about these visions and for the sake of the next generations, you are still allowed, but only in academic publications and conferences, where only scholars bother to attend. Worst, in the majority of these conferences, the participants are the authors and proposers of those ideas. Non authors rarely participate. I found only one, my colleague, just because of CV requirement and the conference is cheap because it is local. She has to pay for the entrance fee herself.

That is why, the problems of the world had been proven with calculations and facts and yet were not implemented because the people do not know. The proposers do not bother because he is only interested in the views of his peers, fellow authors themselves. His promotion and rewards are mostly based on the views of his peers.

For example, problems with subsidies are already well known among academics. Many nations already reduced subsidies and in fact become developed overnight, like Singapore but most nations do not know or even bother to find out.

The same with Traffic Jams. Already solved and shown to solve all traffic jams in the Netherlands and yet most nations do not know.  A few are still experimenting but most do not bother a single bit, with Malaysia as the best example. Malaysia even ban all micromobilty vehicles less than 30 km/hr, even for assistance to the handicaps. Worst, the police were asked to exempt the handicap people, and yet the handicaps are still considered as breaking the law.

There are still many more examples but economy and traffic jams are of the utmost importance. Climate disasters are still far off but if most humans ignore the solutions to the economy and traffic jams, what hope do you have of telling them about climate disasters, especially in Malaysia?
