Alternative to Death Penalties
Excellent response from LKY but I disagree. When even people with li.ited mental abily can be executed like a few cases before. Due to their limited mental abilities, they were tricked to become drug donkeys for little gain.
They may not even understand the announcements that LKY mentioned when planes arrive in Singapore. I didn't here them when traveling by bus, but I heard about death penalties in Singapore because I read a lot.
But no matter how careful I am, I am still capable of being tricked by these intelligent and motivated drug traffickers. Malaysian courts and courts in other nations pointed it out.
So many false charges. Are you aware that when drugs are found in your bags, it is automatically assumed that you put them there? Despite the proven abilities by others to put the drug inside by anybody handling the bag during the cargo handling process.
My nephew, a public prosecutor, was so paranoid that she asked her bags to be wrapped everything she travels. I rely on solid bags as precautions. Zipped bags are so easy to be opened and reclosed without notice at all.
Nowadays, a lot of airports have recorded cameras especially in developed nations like Japan. In undeveloped nations, such as Dubai, even the policemen are not reliable. They are easily bribed. Just imagine how secure Malaysia is now? With the lowering of the cost of living in Malaysia, which means, easily bought by outsiders with lots of money.
One alternative is to put these men into useful labour in prison for a number of years until they are no longer productive. Retired at 60. Then execute them. At least they may contribute to society while still giving them the chance to have their evidences challenged up to the very last moment.
Keeping sick and weak people in prison is wasteful to the nation and to the person himself. Let him die in peace.
